  • Coach Kolie has consistently helped me reach my cycling and multisport goals with the most friendly and professional interactions one can seek between coach and athlete. He’s one-on-one coaching; tailored training plans, and daily motivation are the reasons I continue to support this business as much as it supports me. Kolie hasn't just created a business or a collection of coaches, he has successfully fostered a real cycling family that loves and is eager to watch each other grow.

  • I've been with Kolie for three years now and have been extremely satisfied with both his coaching and my race results. I've raced primarily road and track, with much more of a track focus in the recent years and Kolie has been open to addressing any and all of my goals therein. He programs both on and off bike workouts too. Plenty of coaches out there write generic training plans and cookie cutter workouts for all their athletes while not really giving you the individual attention you need to progress as an athlete. Kolie's workouts and periodization schemes are tailor fit to your goals, secondary, and primary events. Unlike some other coaching services out there every athlete with Coach Kolie receives the same individualized attention to detail and care. No caste system exists within his athletes and he is always open to email communication. No restrictions on questions, concerns, or feedback from him. Kolie has coached athletes at every level from beginner new racers to elite nationals level and I highly recommend his services to riders looking to take their performances that next step.

  • I began training with Coach Kolie in early 2015. I immediately noticed a change in my abilities. I started my 2015 season strong including a win. However, I was plagued with a couple serious injuries that kept me off my bike. During the 2016 season I continued to battle some injuries. Coach Kolie was great about working around my injuries and helped to keep me motivated. Finally in 2017 I stayed fairly healthy and we were finally really able to really focus. Coach Kolie pushed me to reach my goals. I started the year off strong with a few podiums and continued perform well. I was able upgrade to a cat 3 right when I wanted to. Coach Kolie helped me reach my goals and surpass them. What's great is that the workouts are fitted to my schedule and if something comes up he works with me. The communication is above and beyond impressive. I always appreciate how Coach Kolie allows for an open dialogue and gets back to me so quickly. Coach Kolie encourages me to meet all my goals no matter how small or large and is truly happy with all my successes. I am pumped to already be training with him for 2018 and can't wait to start racing again! In 2014, I was trying to comeback from a serious hip injury and my goal event for the year was Master’s Track Nationals in Redmond, Washington. I was self-coached at the time but realized I needed professional support and advice. With John’s help, I won six medals and a National Champion jersey in the Team Pursuit. That fall, I decided to go all-in with John and Performance Cycle Coaching for the 2015 track season. Unfortunately, a serious crash in December kept me from training until March of 2015, when I finally hired him to coach me back into racing form. In only five months John was able to take me from out-of-shape mom to winning six medals at Master’s Track Nationals in Rock Hill, South Carolina, as well as several podium finishes in road races, including third place in the California Master’s State Championship criterium. Most recently John’s been working on getting me back into cyclo-cross shape where I’m battling the Elite women racers again. John makes the training both fun and effective while keeping the motivation level high. He responds quickly to any and all questions or concerns about workouts and he really cares about how you do at all your events. John provides the high quality, personal level of coaching I’d been looking for and I can’t wait to see how far we can go together next year!
